The curatorial:
Something like looking from the known into the known, into the crossing of the real with the real – this is the reaction of Olaf Nicolai’s student at the Munich Academy of Fine Arts, Andrea Veselá. She fills the exhibition space with a live projection of a tree‘s crown growing in the Lidice Gallery’s garden and brings us events from just a few metres away. The observer then becomes part of two environments in real-time. However, the projected leaves of the tree don’t bring the outside inside, instead, they create a new situation in a diferent context, dimension, and conditions. Is this construct of authenticity our new reality?
