[2022]The relationship between non-human material and the human organism was explored in a performative way, using leftover pieces of rock from an active quarry - compelled by the strange and almost too close resemblance of the quarried limestone to human flesh. A series of experiments were carried out to determine the extent to which this material could have actually formed part of the human body in the past, and whether it is possible to maintain such a state in the present moment. In this experiment, the bodies of the stones found were placed on a human body which was gradually bent into the assumed, more pre-sentient, positions that would indicate their localisations within the human. In this process, the tectonics of each stone was a crucial reference point, as were the significant changes in shape observed in each object. The information on the specific locations were successively stored in the objects by manually polishing the contact surfaces between them and the human body. In total, 7 positions were found - hand1, hand2, inner anvil, shin, scapula, back, knee. Objects Remembering Organs - Performative Walk at the Quarry, Untersberg, Salzburg, AU
