Inspired by the influencer youtube channels, the mirror appropriates every act taking place in front of it in order to turn the acts´ reflections into its actual subject, subject to what Jean-Paul Sartre, in Being and Nothingness (1943), termed ‘the look’: when a consciousness is forced to recognize that it exists not only as the centre of its own being, but also as an object in the world of others. | A gesture within a group exhibition project dealing with Runaway Process. | 2m x 0,8m rounded mirror engraved: My work is only the reflection of others.
